wanted: front derailleur - 28.6mm

heyo

I'm a dope and just realized my front derailleur (Tiagra 4700) has a 31.8mm clamp-on and I need a 28.6mm. Anyone got anything that could work, even one without a clamp would do.

From a little research it sounds like what I might need is a shim?

They don't seem to make them in 28.6

Thanks! but annoyingly Its one you can't take the clamp off...or maybe I should be trying harder!

I'll check my one later when get time but in the past I've made my own shims with inner tubes cut to size or the rubbery plastic thingy you get with lights , let you know later when back home

Shims are available for this. I just got one myself for about £1.50 from Rose Bikes.

any chance you have a link or what it would be called? did some searches for shim and derailleur accessories but no dice. cheers!!

My bike shop gave me one of these a few months ago. They come with all front MTB mechs I think so he had millions.
Try your local shop.
