Disassemble the MC. Few posts above has pretty concise breakdown.
Shout at it until it works again.
In the end I changed the groupset to Ultegra (at an exorbitant cost) and then sent the lever back to SRAM under warranty. The MC piston was clearly sticking in the bore, even once I'd removed and cleaned it. SRAM replaced the piston and the o-ring, and then I flogged the groupset on.
How very irritating, but good to know they made it right in the end.
I have a replacement MC piston in my possession - will let you know how I get on ;-)
Looks like replacing the piston did the trick! Bleeding the brakes after draining all the fluid was interesting.
Anyone want to buy a brand new complete right hand, front brake, rear shifting rival lever plus flat mount caliper?
