• Hi,

I have a Super Galaxy tandem that I'm putting cross top levers on. The problem is that the lever is too close to the hanger (which is under the top nut of the headset) and there doesn't seem to be a feasible way of cabling without ridiculous friction. Is the only solution to get another hanger?

    Cheers,

    T

  • Would something like a Problem Solvers Travel Agent help?

  • Is your fork drilled, to accommodate something like this instead?

  • Also has the advantage of reducing brake judder.

  • I guess both would work. So the solutions are generally to either change the orientation that the outer cable sits in the hanger or increase the distance to the hanger. I'll have a think and decide which to go for. Thanks for the help!

Out of interest, how does the travel agent work in terms of short pull / long pull? Doesn't it just redirect the inner? Actually, this wouldn't be bad as I have TT levers at the end...

  • Ok I've let me google this for you myself to find the answer... how clever!

  • I've got an unused fork hanger that you can have for a few quid/beers

  • I will PM you
