Where's the crack? At the top? A possible fix for a framebuilder?
-
• #3
It's at the bottom, just below the top bottle cage mount (see picture). It extends all the way round.
I'm not really sure, nor could say with any great certainty. Hence saying it shouldn't be ridden.

Ill take it if you decide to post.

I was hoping not to deal with the hassle of packaging it up and finding a courier. But I will keep you in mind if no one closer to home is interested.
Thanks

Tempted to see if it could be repaired / repurpose if it not. Can I ask for size?

I can't stress enough that you should take it to a professional framebuilder/welder, if you do. The absolute last thing I want is for it to break on someone whilst riding.
Its a 59cm.

I'm 5ft 11 and had it setup with flat bars and a short stem. -

Like @young_gun I'm interested if you'll post. Got a fresh can of mapp gas that needs to be used in a clueless manner.

I know of a cheap courier service. Have a friend that is a frame builder but if it's totally punted it will make a funky lighting sconce for wife's tattoo shop haha

Might be worth me having a play.

wife's tattoo shop
Stop bragging!

• #16
What are you on about?
-
• #17
Sorry if it came across in the wrong way, I only meant that your life sounded sort of awesome, wanting a broken frame to use as a light fixture in your wife's tattoo shop.

Ah ok, yea read it as a negative. I'll have to make a build thread if we ever build a new shop.

This frame is not suitable to be ridden! There is a crack around almost the entirety of the seat tube.
This ad is purely to see if anyone has any interest in repurposing into a clock/furniture/art project/etc… before goes for scrap metal
It was a Surly Steamroller. Black. No decals. Also the seat post is fused.
Free to anyone who wants it.
Pick up only. Camberwell/Peckham.
