• Hi all,

I'm leaving my job at Saffron Frameworks after nearly 2 years in the (incredibly rewarding) role. It's a tricky job to define, I came here from a cycling retail background and whilst that's a big part of it I'm not just selling bikes. Day to day tasks include:

    • Conversing with customers by email and phone to answer questions and keep builds rolling along
    • Quoting new customers for frames, paint and components
    • Offering example specifications for bikes to customers (the sales part)
    • Scheduling customer's build diaries for internal ordering and outside suppliers, managing lead times thereof
    • Organising orders from our suppliers all over the world and managing lead times to make sure all parts are on site when needed
    • Assembling each and every bike (hydro brake and Di2 knowledge ideal, but not essential - I learnt that here) but you must be a SOLID mechanic with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Photographing bikes when complete
    • Writing up descriptions for the website
    • Social media posts
    • Problem solving with Matthew on specific design issues etc...

    The ideal candidate would have:

    • High end bike assembly experience
    • High end bike retail experience
    • An understanding an interest in the new trend in bike specification and new parts available
    • Illustrator experience
    • Photography experience
    • Excellent time management (and be able to work virtually uninterrupted and on their own, managing their own time)

Salary is competitive for bike retail, but will depend on the candidate. The job is strictly "office" hours (with flexibility), so a MAJOR perk for those currently working in retail and wanting to settle down into a more "normal" life. Usual holidays and other such things.

If you're interested and think you could be the right person please email me (no PMs) to andy@saffronframeworks.com

  • 10/10 job

  • Thanks @amey...

I think we met at the open day, @jammy - I was trying to get my rather tall/stout friend to order a custom frame because he kept cracking OTP ones. He didn't do it in the end and has just snapped ANOTHER Trek.

    Email incoming...
