Serotta Colorado concept CCTi Stern titanium road bike

For sale this Stern branded road bike. Frame in titanium made by Serota Colorado.
58 x 57cm, it has 650c or 26" wheels. It seems a strange combination that a 26" wheel size bike to have a frame this big, i can't really make a sense of that. Anyway, the bike is equiped with shimano 600 tricolor groupset with Sti levers and Dura Ace brake calipers. It weighs about 8.9kg. It has a really big crankset 56-48 T, with look carbon pedals. Syncros seat tube and quill stem. Selle Italia turbo matic 2. The model number CC58712. If you need any other info, feel free to contact me.

650 wheels onn full size frames was in fashion for triathlon a while back and this probably dates from them and the 600 groupset is an indication of that period. You're right, it does look very strange but I assume as it is a Serotta it is a damn fine bike.

Thanks for the comment. What you are saying makes sense. The frame on these wheels looks much bigger than it is. When i bought the bike i didn't notice the 26" wheels and i thought the frame was gigantic, 62cm or bigger. To my surprise i measured it 58cm, then i checked the wheels. And one correction, the crankset is 56-42T.

Is that a mavic zap bb? How are the threads on the bb shell?

I don't know. All i can see is Mobile writen on it. I can't see the threads, but the BB looks good as new. Please check the pic.

Search the forum for Quintana Roo and you'll pick up some useful and historic info about 650 wheel bikes.

I have built up a lovely 650 wheel Peugeot for Mrs NLL who is a little over 5ft and this image shows why they are great for smaller riders and horrible for larger riders/full size frames. OK, my opinion and I'm not making any judgement on yours.
