Went to Hawaii, nothing changed.
Haven't played in a month, not missing it at all...
I still enjoy getting it out a few times a day.
I bet you do...
If anyone still PoGo's the gen2 Pokémon are now out there.
The game has reverted to July 16 levels of instability though and crashes a lot.
Just went for a lunch time pokewalk, lots of starter pokemon about but saw no new ones. :(
I've only had a couple.
OG starters are everywhere now, went months looking for a squirtle and caught half a dozen walking the dog on Saturday.
Why was a squirtle walking a dog?
Do all squirtles own dogs?
I caught an Ivysaur just now and a Charmeleon at the weekend having previously only having seen Charmanders and Bulbasaurs once in a blue moon! Caught a bunch of Wartortles over the past week as well.
Is this still a thing? Just listening to a Bikes or Death podcast about a dude who rides around Texas catching Pokethingies.
Still a thing in HK, multiple phones at a time, wide range of ages involved.
It's been dead to me for (looks at my last post) 5 years now
I started on Wizardmon Go, but sacked that off.
Did rekindle my Ingress love recently, it is the best for lone losers like me.
Still a thing in UK, know a few people who still go out playing it and they say you still get quite a big turn out when there are events happening
I like the idea of exploring but no fucking way is this shit going on my phone.
What ever happened to that Google Tour Guide thing that used the same company's software? That would be cool on tours and stuff. Nutanix or Nutramix or Niancat or something.
Ingress / Niantic
Niantic were the company (Google subsidiary) that made the game, Ingress.
Not for those that don't want Gogle having all your data though, it is a geohacking game that tracks where you are.
Yeah, I think they used the same tech to make a thing that would act like a virtual tour guide..
so it knew your location and would then explain stuff (wiki entries maybe) based on a radius you specified and maybe speed of travel or whatever, so you didn't have 200 things mention at once if you're driving.
This is probably it: Field Trip
"It’s a Niantic Labs project at Google, one that aims to bring you automatic suggestions for places to visit near where you’re physically standing at any given moment."
Last update 2015 :(
Over $1Bn in revenue last year.
Yep, still a thing....
