Just got my time, 1.16. Just realised I need to find myself a brake calliper... I shouldn’t have any issues running widebars right?
Ask for a late start time, get top seed :|
Wide bars will be fine, as long as you stay away from the barriers...
I haven't seeded this as a traditional HC because I don't want the seeds going up the hill in the finals having just raced......no offence @dbr
No worries, thanks for accommodating me with the Leiths thing. For some reason they're setting me off last too! No pressure or anything.
At least you'll be warmed up, Dan Evans will have been waiting around for 2.5 hours when you meet him in the final.
I signed up for this on a whim at the last minute. Strongly suspect I'm going to get the wheel of cheese.
What time does this start? Might be able to swing by for an hour and see some pain faces
1 I believe
Might head there with the kids for a bit
Think I did alright with 1:53 and 5th in the youth category. Really annoyed that I paused my ride after I started the UHC segment so I got 10:30 on strava.
I managed 2:23. Two years ago I broke my hip and was on crutches for 3 months. I reckon I'm recovered. Moreover, I am flippin' delighted!
Pathetic 2:01 for me I think, decided to chicken out at the end and instead of going for 52 at the front I decieded to go for 36 and ruined my legs before the steep part and the rest is history. Also found out that my BB was fucked and it didn’t spin at all to top it all off that my bike got blown over this morning and bent my rear hanger...
So sum up racing can be expensive and only do it when you’re not fat!
My whole racing 'career' has been done while fat.
2 mins ain't bad stop whining
But yeah scratched DA mech sucks
Are the results somewhere?
Yeah also interested in results? Had to shoot off after my run
2.05, pretty happy with that considering I was wearing shorts and a sweatshirt while riding on widebars
Great event, came 40th so reasonably chuffed with my first real hill climb.
Glad they changed my name from Richard Applin (I took his spot) though
Snaps from the event here including a lfgss-er...
