Yeah totally normal, if you want to preserve bag and rack a bit, wrap a layer of sacrificial electrical tape around the contact points (replace every month or so), or use light weight inner tubes (defo adds weight).
Black is easy to touch up, especially if it's textured finish.
I have 44cm Specialized hover bars with a flare and Shimano levers. My bigxtop bag can interfere a bit with gear changes - would be impossible with vertical bars. I had to have it perfectly centered.
I don’t really like the look of that Specialized bag - looks like no handles or shoulder strap? Also not very expandable?
thanks. I've ordered some 46cm 3t ernova bars which have a 6deg flare.
hopefully that'll be enough room for the shifters.
size wise I think the bag will be ok as I don't carry a great deal of stuff but if it doesn't work out it'll give me a better idea on what I need before I order something custom
I recently acquired a new commuter bike with a pizza rack and I'm thinking of going with this as a bag solution https://wizard.works/products/alakazam
looks like a cool bag, bit spendy mind.
obviously you'd need a wald basket as well.
Spendy yeah but I'm finding it does everything I need it to compared to the Restrap or Swift Industries ones
Looks similar to the ILE option - it is what I have used with my racks for quite some time. Keeps clothes flat, tons of space, and built for use with a rack rather than a basket.
I think only these guys carry them in the UK now since the Always Riding changed.
There is also a Surly option as well but I have no experience with them.
the yellow lomo drybag looks quite decent for pizza rack as well, but again it's a bit too wide if you have drop bars.
victor and liberty don't actually have these in stock sadly.
Have you tried direct with ILE? Their website does GBP - maybe worth an email to them to ask.
Which Ortleib adapter should one use to fit front panniers on the rack?
Wich ortlieb pannier?
