Hexlox - security bike components that doesn't need special bolts

A friend sent me a link to this kickstarter for Hexlox which looks interesting.
It's a way of turning your existing allen bolts into security bolts, and potentially far cheaper than stuff like Atomic 22.

Just seen this. Looks good, better than gluing in a ball bearing.

Just backed it now, fed up of stressing over the possible loss of a Seatpost / saddle every time I lock up! :)

Backed as well, simpler than gluing or bringing a cable, a lot cleaner looking than a bike chain

I see they're shipping now for backers. Mine haven't arrived yet but I added on a front wheel nut and seat post clamp. Anyone else got them?

Nuts sound like they will be delayed slightly. I'm getting a couple of skewers and then just a load of m6 thingies so hopefully will be in the earlier dispatches. I'll let you know when I get something.

We’ve not been great in communicating with the pre-orders
as most information has only gone out to the Kickstarter Backers
unfortunately. We had a big delay with the production facility
telling us that they could not proceed as quickly as promised
since we by far exceeded the quantities originally ordered.
We started delivering a couple of weeks ago but we have
a total of 14.000 locks to send out.

That last bit, they are picking and packing all orders themselves after quality checking each one. Could be a long wait.

They haven't even taken the money from my account yet even though I've placed my order like 3 months ago. Now I'm worried I end up spending what I put aside for it every time I get drunk at the pub.

One annoying aspect of kickstarters and this one in particular is that they always give such unrealistic ship dates. When I ordered the expected date was June 2016, which I knew was never going to happen just based on the every other kickstarter project. Why not just have an extremely conservative date and then you can actually surprise people by being ahead of schedule

Totally. This is the first thing I've backed. I feel that they've contributed to the delay by adding other products to the lineup. Should have just made and shipped the original hexlox then expanded to the other nuts and binders.

Saying that I have ordered some of the other nuts and binders as.o reckon try look great. I remain hopeful that this stuff arrives this year.
