This should probably go in here, my mate and I got capsaicin tattoos a while back. Stupidly mine is missing a HO bond but I refuse to pay minimum charge to get it touched up so I'll wait until I'm getting something else done to have it added. Can't find a picture of his but he got the molecular formula.

^with the HO bond missing you actually have the formula for Viagra.
respect tho, perhaps I'm not as big a chilli fan as I thought!

Really like that!

Speaking of which, where can I find Ancho chillis? Brixton market?

Bollocks. Maybe I'll stump up the min. charge... Don't want to be giving people the wrong idea!

I'ld wait if I was you.
Capsaicin is nothing like sildenafil;

Remember if you start now it would be wise to invest in some "daylight" lights (and a timer) to give them sufficient hours of light each day so they'll grow nice and compact.

Yes, I just went and bought some seed trays, seed compost and seeds. The very helpful people at Secret Garden Centre in Crystal Palace advised that I wait until February to sow the seeds because of daylight hours.

^ this is probably sound advice if you don't have lights (which I don't). Oh well. I doubt much will happen for 10 days or so anyway. Once I get some seedlings coming up they will go on a 1st floor south facing windowsill for maximum daylight.

I seem to have the world's slowest chilli here - it was planted around 9 months ago, one chilli appeared maybe six weeks ago and it's only now starting to change colour. It's been indoors all the time, by the window, although probably below the ideal temperature. Still seems strange. I might try in one of those fancy trays next time.

You should definitely collect and plant the seeds from this, future generation will already be more accustomed to the shit growing conditions!

Chilli eugenics FTW.

Yea, probably a bit chili..
Sorry, I'll get my coat..

I’ve tried a few chilli beers with varying success. This is a good one. Not as much chocolate as the bottlw would suggest but the heat works really well. An all Welsh affair, may only we available locally, don’t know.

^ looks nice. Friend brought around some fermented (brine) Birds Eye chilli paste tonight. Tasty, bright 'danger' red colour and quite hot with it. Nice.

Anyone know what up with Birdseye plant?
It's suddenly, and heavily wilted. I can't seem to save its entirety gone floppy overnight.
I've given it a good water but not oversaturated it, soil is damp but not sodden. I've left it under a lamp to give it maximum light. No mould, no parasite's, just seems to have given up the will to live. -

Where do you keep it?

If leaves seem healthy green otherwise I'm not sure what could be the problem.
You could water less though; it's good if you let soil get dry-ish a bit from time to time. Water by putting in a bowl with room temperature water for an hour, repeat when soil gets dry-ish again.

I often use little yoghurt "pots", put them on (or near) the radiator and put cling film or a piece of acrylic glass on top to retain moisture.
