What’s going on with the gearing here, is there some kind of multiplier on that gearbox between the cranks and the belt? Surely can’t be rideable with what looks like 1:1 gearing like that.

Yeah that would be amazing. Throw a cheap Alfine on the back and you have silly gearing range.
I think I'd be fine with just 12 or 18 gears though. They already claim around 600% gear range.

Agree though, they are awesome. To the point now Shimano is getting in on the gearbox game.
