I've got a cheap ultrasonic cleaner. It does ok at flushing out dried ink ink fountain pens but not tried bike parts in it. The cheaper ones don't have a particularly strong cleaning motion, so I'm not sure if it's going to do much.
Leaving the cassette on the bike, Brush on de-greaser with a bit of agitation and hose off usually works for me. Normally doesn't take much effort

For bicycle parts I see absolutely no need for a ultrasonic cleaner. All bicycle parts are easy enough to clean using standard chemicals. Industrial cartridge bearings you don't really clean but replace.. and cup/cone? While one can use a cleaner, I consider it, in general, to be poor practice. One can easily do more harm than good. The only time when one needs things cleaner than spotless is when changing between incompatible lubricants-- for example in moving to and from fluorinated (e.g. Krytox) lubes-- and it is easily done with hand agitation in a suitable solvent. There are some plastic parts that sometimes get pretty gunked up. These are easily cleaned in a bath of fizzy denture cleaner.
If you have other needs and really want one.. Instead of the Chinese knock-offs I'd look around for a good used cleaner from a lab..

Looking at getting one of the no brand chinese ultrasonic cleaners off ebay. Saw one youtube video of a guy using one but wondered if any workshops out there have got one? Thought you could use the rozone parts washer fluid in it? Save time scrubbing cassettes?
