MTB's are cool.
I am probably most envious of dammit's Jibb, Madonna, Yalla trinity. They would be rowdier with fox sus though.
Gravel bikes are trash though, and largely responsible for the demise of this forum, despite what anyone says about Ofcom and the OSA.

This is excellent.
What's the cantilever thingybob? And why is the front mech cable trying to escape?

its a "power hanger":

they are fiddly to set up but can work well, especially on bikes with long head tubes

And this is why gravel chat must never migrate to discord

all MTB/gravel bikes are ugly
Complete nonsense, as I've come to both expect and almost appreciate

Cheers.
So it's a bit like a fork mounted hanger, but cooler looking.
What are the downsides? Do they work equally well with short headtubes?

Strong contender. In a similar vein this always stood out for me, can't believe it's been 7 years since it was finished.

This is peak classic rim bicycle. 9000 was the finest mechanical group and the last before shifters adopted ugly mountain bike designs.
The clean simple design with fine details on the frame is the cherry on top.
10/10
@Dammit 's first Serotta was very good
