Harden Bacon Slicer Mavic CXP14 track wheelset

Up for sale here is a vinage track wheelset.

The wheels feature Harden Bacon slicer track hubs and Mavic CXP14 rims. The spokes are tied and soldered. The wheels include a Miche cog and Vittorio Open Corsa CX tires.

Both wheels are in good condition. The wheels do show (some) signs of use. The hubs spin smooth and both wheels run straight and true.

I am looking for € 350.00 or 275.00 GBP for the frameset, including shipment to any country in Europe.

Curious mix of 50s and 90s, but all desirable components and would be a shame to unbuild a soldered wheel build. GLWS.

I agree; however, this mix has put me off buying them as they cant be used on a vintage bike and would look odd on a modern one.

I know spitting it would probably be best, be as Skülly said it is a bit of a shame to unbuild these. I may give it a go on Ebay first, before taking them apart and giving it another go here.

my opinion is also to sell rims and hubs separately as the hubs alone sold in the right arena will fetch the price you are asking for the complete wheelset, (someone is asking for a pair NIB for £500.00 << http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ULTRA-RARE-HARDEN-LIGHTWEIGHT-CYCLE-TRACK-HUBS-32-40-HOLES-NOS-NIB-/161930923293?hash=item25b3d5cd1d:g:8zQAAOSwDk5TwohP >>) but do try to find a pair of grease nipples first to screw in the centre barrel

Wow Harden la track nuts cost £55 a set! Think I have a set somewhere...

I wish the hardens were more modern otherwise I woulda had them for my anchor. GlWs
