Has Kenny just fucked himself?
Looks like it, massive decision
Wow!! Best decision but if he wasn't British!!!
Kenny has an incredible arse. It's like a Belgian cow.
A satisfying wrap-up to a hugely entertaining track program at these games, including epic wtf with the double restart. And I love how deadpan Kenny is when interviewed.
Shame our national anthem is such a bag of shit. It always puts a crimp in my enjoyment of GB medal wins, especially when the bonkers lyrics pop into my head.
Fuck off queenie you fucking lizard.
Does anyone know what GI they have been on, and why? The chainrings really do look huge. Like land speed record huge.
Phil hindes was on 100, apparently they had to put a bigger gear on him to slow him down
I heard mention of them using between 60 and 65.
GI? Spin to win!
Probably a 15t for the pursuit? I'm not very good with track gearing.
Yeah, I can't imagine anyone makes 27t cogs but with a 64t chainring thats what you'd need to get between 60 and 65 GI.
Interesting, where did you get the pic?
The rear sprockets looked to be no more than 13 tooth. 64 - 13 is 132.9'' and 64-12 is 144''.
No way, ~39mph for the pursuit on 133" would put their cadence around 100
I'd be surprised if they're doing over 100rpm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quk71-Skmnc
that looks at least 110 rpm plus to me, but it is hard to judge by eye
My man on in inside reckons 64/14 for Wiggins. Riding a 63t at Newport. 20 odd inch higher than he was on for the TP in Sydney.
My tap metronome app counts 122rpm (which is standard 4K team pursuit cadence).
Chris hoy tweeted : Cadence much lower now, down to around 120-125rpm vs 150rpm in the 'old days'. Biomechanically more efficient.
Glad you said this.
Found it hard to take my eyes off it.
It was captivating TV. Now experiencing track withdrawal symptoms. I thought Hoy was a good commentator too - seemed to know a lot of random nerdy facts.
What a waste.
