Go to a cycle jumble, or wait for something to be offered here.

I just always drill the hole out to take a recessed jobby. Although some would consider that bad I'm sure.

I have a set of Campag Gran Sport nutted calipers which are NOS if you are interested.

Any suggestions folks?
You either need calipers that are secured by an external, hex nut ("Traditional Nut Style")...

... or to drill the forks and choose the least worst option for the rear from here (scroll down past halfway, to "Mounting recessed-mounting calipers on older frames").
If you do drill the forks, this is best done using a bench mounted pillar drill: using a hand drill, it is all too easy to drill the hole off centre or at an angle, which will result in the caliper not sitting square to the rim.
Don't ask me how I know this...

Thanks scilly. I've just had the frame enamelled so I won't be drilling, although the thought did run through my mind... 😉
I was hoping Campag do new calipers with the trad fitting.

I'm afraid not, although someone does dual-pivot calipers with the external hex nut: probably Tektro, although I have a feeling they only make them with a long drop, so possibly no good to you.

you can get all the bits you need to do this from sjs cycles, look in their brake spares section

Sorry for hijacking the conversation. Could someone explain me how single pivot campag rear works. All I can find on the tax paying search engine is that "campag are trying to be different"
The rear calliper is "floating". At first I thought it's not tight enough or needed a spacer, but that's not the case. The best hitn I found is that I need to adjust with two wrenches, but still after you pressing once they dont come back parallel :( #CampagnoloSurprises

Hi Guys,
I'm refurbing an old frame and need a set of brakes with a nut fitting. I'm using all new kit for the build and would prefer to use campag.
I bought a set of skeleton brakes but they use a recessed fitting that has a bigger diameter than the brake fixing eye.
No doubt many of you have hit this on your builds. I've spotted a set of Tektro calipers on SJS Cycles that will work but I'd prefer to use Campag or Dia Compe for nostalgic reasons.
Any suggestions folks?
