• Pirelli Cinturato Gravel is in 45mm.

  • Not meaning to hijack the thread but my Arkose X was stolen from a private alley behind my flat last week in SE23. I've only owned it for four months but it quickly became my perfect bike and I dreamed of riding it across the GDMBR, Silk Road, etc etc and all manner of unrealistic bikepacking tours. Please keep and eye out and share my post around:

That said, +1 for the 650b wheel debate

  • If watchfinder did gravel

  • Anyone fancy a OG gravel bike?

Apologies for the cross posting but I'm selling my dads (basically new) Specialized Tricross here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/349961/#comment15373599

  • Is anyone else having tons of Punctures with Schwalbe G-One Allround MicroSkin TL 700 x 38
I just keep on having flats, without riding them on anything particularly challenging.. just gentle trails and woodlands etc... And yes have plenty of Stans floating around inside and replenish it etc..

Need to replace this week, any suggestions for a more useable/puncture resistant option?

  • if you get a puncture on tubeless is it better to 1. continue riding and let it seal that way or 2. stop, isolate the puncture, then position the wheel so that gravity can direct the sealant to the hole? or is it much of a muchness

  • Thanks for the reply, unfortunately the problem wasn't my lack of understanding as to how sealant works, It is actually that the tyres are spaffing shite

    LoL

  • Thanks for the reply

I don't think it was a reply. I think it was a question.

  • Damn, I must 1 learn to read, and 2 have less sticky fingers from 3 spending half yesterday morning dealing with more punctures

  • How many miles you did on it?

I had exactly the same problem when the centre of thread is worn out. They don't last long sadly. Could it be that?

Funnily enough, I've replaced two rear tyres already while the front one is still as new.

  • Put some glitter in the stans. Helps them seal. I find gold and blue colours the best.

Alternatives (i have mezcal 2.25 on as an alternative).

  • Keep riding, you’ll soon know if it wont seal as you’ll have sealant spaffing out everywhere

  • I have sealant in places that even Johnson couldn't paper over...

  • Am thinking some Gravel Kings can't be any worse...

  • Neither front or rear are worn that much, they are just sieve like

  • thanks - am def trying to minimise the spaffing. very much anti spaffing. especially when cycling

(got a puncture at the weekend and does look like someone spaffed all over the back of my bike.)

  • Might be useful to someone:

Gravel fork reduced £185 to £25

Edit: Don't miss steerer length (220mm)

  • You'll be surprised

  • about Gravel Kings?

  • Put some glitter in the stans. Helps them seal. I find gold and blue colours the best.

Don't do this, pissing glitter all over trials is very terrible thing to do environmentally. Stans Race sealant is a huge jump up from the standard stuff, seals a lot better

  • Just arrived here looking for an alternative to Gravel Kings SKs as I'm sick of punctures. Not even that many miles in them.

  • Is anyone else having tons of Punctures with Schwalbe G-One.

I found running high pressure I end up getting a lots of punctures, what pressure you were running it at?
