Genuinely impressed with Yates today - so much for the Shadow, seemed to me that he was the one who definitively broke Quintana.

Is that the second stage Froome has latched onto Porte's wheel to cross the line? I can't help but think Froome is making some sort of horrible statement - "you will always be my domestique."

Such a shame Porte lost 2 minutes from that puncture on stage 1, otherwise he would be right up there. Froomes forever-domestique or not, he looks strong.

Porte set off the GC attack, he was first to move. I think that's why Froome was shadowing him.

It's good for both of them, Porte is way off Froome on GC so the latter doesn't need to steal a few seconds. If it was someone else, I suspect that Froome would have jumped him on the line for the psychological edge, but I suspect he had more respect for Porte than to do that.

2nd and 3rd place battles only from here then? Everyone who isn't Sky is going to hit Quintana now to keep him off.

No, my entirely serious theory is correct. Froome is a saidst and a bad man.

It's all really a matter of who can do what over the next three stages Presuming Froome is now untouchable, Mollema changes from stick to carrot as Yates will be eyeing up 2nd place on the podium.
I think Quintana now needs to be more worried about Bardet than catching Yates back.

This TT is going to very interesting tomorrow.
