  • You could buy a hardtail quicker than that

    Not a gearbox one though...

  • That sucks. You should get a spare bike.
I'll go to Swinley this Sunday then. It's impossible to get lost there.

  • I've got a spare frame/fork/wheels, just not the rest of it, oh, and two stems, and my warrantied chainset.

  • Imagine the amount of spare shocks you could get if you sold all this crap.

  • I have a spare shock, somewhere. 184 x 44 Fox Factory.

  • It's 6&6mm shorter than what I need, otherwise I would have snapped that up.

    Bikes- pain in the arse.

  • Ah, the joys of having a rigid hardtail. Epping is great at the moment: not too hot, and little mud.

  • not too hot

    Agree

    and little mud.

    LIES!

  • Yeah. No idea what I'm going to do with it. It's the EVOL version that doesn't fit my frame as the head of the can is too fat.

  • Ah, the joys of having a rigid hardtail.

When you prefer going uphill than going downhill?

I've got a CX bike too.

  • Does it have a 6mm stroke limiting block inside on the shaft?

Also do you still have that bloody cassette?

  • Dunno is that a thing? and yes

  • Remind me next time and I'll bring a musette to put it in.

Limiting travel definitely is. Just thinking in terms of production that a 6mm spacer would probably be cheaper than the process for making a 184mm and 190mm shocks.

  • Just had a look at their spares list and looks like they're not cutting corners.
