That’s spot on, usually with a similar product of value, extreme case is Kona having a completely different system.
TBH I’m surprise the shop swap it out.
The shop could really refuse it as they’ve listed a complete, detailed spec. All in all it worked out great.
Your purple Overburys is lovely, how’d you get on finishing it?
Your bottle bosses are unusual, seen that arrangement on other Overburys. Three is pretty common for touring stuff, nice to put fuel on the bottom one so bits of mud aren’t going in yer gob. The pair of cages on the DT might be so you can clear the ST for shouldering the bike, perhaps?
Update on the Nakamura:
DT 240 based wheelset, new tires, shorter stem, new cassette, NW chainring.
Awesome! I'm planning a similar build, what size is your chainring and how does the gearing feel?
Its 42T. With the the 2.25 tires it feels alright, usually using the middle section of the cassette on flat.
Gonna bump this thread with my first post... my all rounder mtb/gravel crusher
That looks alright
I am on the hunt again for a frame set, got a Kepler but really wanting more clearance for larger 700c wheels/tyres struggling to find something which also is non boost.
Might have to go custom frame
Or get a Genesis Vagabond?
Maybe a Pipedream Alice? They're going to restock it around april
That's awesome man, i've been following you on Instagram a while. Really love that moots - especially with suss forks and riser bars! From your instagram is sounds like you have some big plans for it?
For sure! I'm riding the GDMBR from canada to mexico this summer on basically the build above plus basket, bags, and cages (hence the troll fork). I really liked the suss on it but with the 100mm suss it slacked the bike out a little too much, as in 2000 this bike was specd with an 80mm. Im gonna have to keep up with my friends who are running an ECR and Ogre lol
No can do, due to the Shop I help at, although available via Madison
They are nice, forgot about them.
Want a better frame material, the Kepler is the same.
That's awesome, looking forward to seeing the updates on Instagram! Would you be able to move to 650c wheels and some form of disc brake either front or rear? I've got a 26" Rock Lobster that I was vaguely considering moving to 650c...
This has a bit on 650b vs 650c etc. I'm guessing you mean 650b.
I was wondering about that.
Everybody knows 650A is where it's really at.
Col de la Vie ftw.
