  • Shimano RS81 C50s? I've got the 10-speed versions on my day-to-day. They're a little porky, but bomb-proof.

  • I did the same earlier this year on my S2. the rear rim is ruined! for the winter, I've strapped on some planet x ct45 wheels which do the job for cheaps!

  • What actually happened to this bike

  • Bike shop fixed it up. New top nut, new tyre. Bar tape was the only casualty from laying it down. It's all sound now.
    Took it to see Scheritt for bike fitting and it's now properly set up for me. Still need to set fire to the Ergostem for something else.
    It absolutely flies.

  • Are you riding this in winter get R24, otherwise as you say save.

  • Hey @7VEN, what's the clearance like front and back? You're running 23c right? Trying to think if I can get away with using vintage carbon as a winter bike with PDW Full Metal 'guards.

  • I've asked my good lady who is working from home today and she reckons the front would probably be a no go. Rear, more chance. I've got PDW on my Trek so will have a proper look tonight.

  • There's definitely no way you'd get PDW s with 23's on the front. Reckon you'd be able to get one on the rear, just

  • Hmm, same as my old KG176 then. Might have to give up on this idea and stick with something boring.
