Advice about getting a Subject Access Request (re. CCTV) here:

This sucks! i hope the bitch goes jail!
if they catch her expect a big pay out! i recieved 2.5k for being knocked off my bike with a few minor injuries didnt even go a&e was able to walk from the scene and no ways as serious as what you are experiencing, the best thing to do is keep going hospital and gp as often as possible make records of all visits and any pain or discomfort you encounter.you also need to go and speak to all the shops immediately around where the incident happened if there is no cctv from the police most shops will have some cctv but will get rid of recording within 30 days.
get well soon and i hope none of the injuries are long term.

Another odd thing happened, which was I got a call from No win no free the following day!
The Motor Insurers Bureau "Compensate victims of uninsured and untraced drivers fairly and promptly".
All companies who underwrite motor insurance in the UK are required by statute to pay a levy to the MIB: this isn't some bullshit bunch of para-legals trying to sound official.
Submit a claim ASAP, your pal's statement will be sufficient to confirm you were injured by a motor vehicle, and let them do the heavy lifting. They will compensate you and pursue the driver to recover their losses.
Ambulance chasers wish they had half the clout the MIB do and being fully funded don't give a fuck about what it costs: your best chance of receiving a fair settlement and seeing the driver strung-up is with the MIB.
The acronym is no co-incidence...

Thanks Guys!! Have some solicitors on the case now, will follow advice about cctv, great help. Yes have been to A&E twice now and may have to see a neurologist in a week. Feel Pretty fucked in the brain. I;ll let you guys know if they find the bitch. I just hope my hearing gets better because it was already screwed from another accident.

Stay safe, Tim -

Just read this - shocking behaviour from the driver. Hope you start feeling better very soon and they catch the culprit. There must have been some incriminating damage to the vehicle, if she hit you at any speed.

sure there was but she was gone and I was flying, Lets hope so though.

Better haul ass and report to the Police.
MIB won't cover shit unless you report accident within 5 days. -
• #16
True: I took it, that the OP reported it when he asking about CCTV.

Minor thing, but the date in the thread title is in the future.

police were on the scene and ambulance so no problems

Good luck with following it up, Tim. It's good that the collision has been recorded, but experience teaches victims of traffic collisions that they have to be particularly proactive with the police. This, of course, is one of the things that solicitors are for, so I hope yours is good. Ideally, the registration number should be traced. Bear in mind that you could get it through other CCTV cameras along the same link, too, as the driver will most likely have passed through a series of them.

Oxford St must be one of the most CCTV'd places on the planet. No way will the footage not be recorded. Did you get any details of the car? Even with slim info, they should be able to track them using the Congestion Charge cctv, surely?

Hi guys,
I was crossing oxford street with a friend in front. We were going through a green just changing to amber and the next thing I know I'm whacked by a car and flew across onto curb. She hit me about 20 miles per hour and sped off friend tried chasing on bike but she was long gone. She looked straight at me and new knew exactly what she had done.
I wondered whether anyone had witnessed this( long shot), I ended up in A &E, and had CT of Brain etc. But i've got severe concussion still, had to go back to A& E last night because I'm vomiting and slurring and feel brain dead plus now have tinnitus. All rather anouying really. Just want to catch to M-ucker who did this.
According to the police there aren't many CCCTV working on oxford street but i'm sceptical.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Another odd thing happened, which was I got a call from No win no free the following day!
I've had to a film I was working in Iceland and I'm super pissed off!
Thanks for listening,
Tim
