A very serious and potentially fatal crash, seemingly because the car smashed through the wall of the building.

Hm, not sure Fox would consider this a building or a structure, but photography thread devotees will probably be interested:

"Moment Thames ferry crashes into pier"
It appears to narrowly miss the pier and to crash only into the pilings? Or was the pier scraped?

It would not, on the face of it, appear to be a winning strategy to use Oxford Street as part of your getaway route:

Fortunately only minor injuries.

• #359
You would have to be a special kind of idiot to drive or even cycle down Oxford Street full stop. You have to wonder.

• #361
Driver was clearly going there for a lesson

'Learn to dive', priceless.
Again seemingly no serious injuries in this type of crash.

Just came here to post that.

A crash involving a bridge that is clearly more than a structure:
-
• #366
I didn't post that as it involves a structure rather than a building.

Was the bus stop "built"? Does it have foundations? Does it shelter people? Have I slept in one?
Yes Yes Yes Yes
Building.
OED: "A structure with a roof and walls, such as a house or factory." or a bus stop that had a roof and walls.

I agree with you, which is why I said I was channelling Fox. :)

Polystyrene foundations.

+1 points for building being a shop that sells hi-viz clothes.
-

Just missed someone grabbing those mad high-viz black Friday Jersey barginz.
Seriously though. Are we now at the point where anything that happens on the day that has become known as "black Friday" needs to be referred to as such in every article!? If so, I don't like it.

Police say it's a dangerous spot. Clearly that building should have been wearing a helmet.

It does bring to mind Adam Yates and the inflatable.
I think that the reason why the focus is so much on the outcome, that the bridge collapsed, and not on the possible driver error or mechanical failure of the lorry, is because it is probably not yet known what it was. Until such time, reporters inevitably have to concentrate on what's marginally more obvious. That, and obviously also that people always get very upset when a major road is blocked for whatever reason.
Very glad there seems to have been very little injury. Far more serious motorway incidents in which many people die seem to get less news coverage than this.
