Good point! As I said, I'm definitely interested, I really love the design, especially the big birds on the back.
Just heads up we (CS Grupetto) will be organising a double header ride this year to celebrate the big man.
On 22nd June Big Daddy Wayne will be 51 and we wanted to celebrate his birthday by doing, not one but two FAAB rides. A day after summer solstice this year it seems a fitting time to get together celebrate Wayne's life with a bike ride, so please hold the date.
I will be leading a ride from Richmond Park out to Surrey or Windsor (TBC), depending on numbers. @biarittz will then also be leading an evening ride in SE departing 7pm and making the most of summer sun, which will be more off road, bridlepath affair, so bring your gravel bike. RWGPS below.
Hope to see as many FAAB jerseys out on the road.
I’ll try and get up to London from the valleys for one to ride in the memory of the big man.
so bring your gravel bike.
so bring your gravel bike.
@big_daddy_wayne would disapprove of this I think, this is a cx bike ride and he'd approve of that.
The last time I saw him was at Herne Hill for the Madison Cross on New Year's Day.
I’ve put this provisionally In the diary.
Family commitments dependent.
CX bike ride.
That’s the best way to remember him. Everyone please stay safe, but more importantly have fun, Wayne is 10 & a half months older than me, but he’ll be on the ride & with you in Spirit. Thanks for organising this.
36 miles sounds doable, I'm down for it, will have one of Wayne's design t-shirt on!
The Cross Ride will be leaving from Wallington Green in deepest, darkest, sarfest 'London'.
Meet for 7pm. Leaving 7.15pm.
New route here (not accurate on the start point but use the above location)
Hi, it’d be great if you could. I wish I was able to ride, otherwise I’d be joining in
This is great, wish I was there to join in the fun... 🖤
I'm down for the cross ride.
reminded of this when I very fortuitously bumped into the wonderful @andyp yesterday.
sadly on 22 June I will be rolling somewhere in the Peaks. but I will be wearing the shirt and thinking of the big guy
@jonny I will also be in the peaks!
Fancy a jar of tar in the region and a ride in said jersey?
