This is great news. Also a dream scenario if tomorrow they can sprint against eachother, as if they have let each have a go to get that winning feeling back before they could have a clean sprint between the two of them. Fabio to take it with a millimeter difference photo finish and they hug afterwards in tears. Only to be taken apart by a furious patlef that, in his boomer money minded hatred, doesn't recognize the love that they found. Best hollywood cycling movie script since... ever.
There's an interesting sounding documentary on BBC1 tonight about the history of Keirin presented by Sir Chris Hoy.
is it this one?
Pretty gutting for all-round nice guy "Dan from Nam"
Shit. He is a really nice guy and getting Covid from a small training group ride. Fuck.
De Lange sounds fucking stoked though so I guess that's nice for him.
Shame. Was hoping to see him on his saffron at the Olympics too.
A very literal depiction of sports-washing.
I've ended up with a spare copy of ProCycling this month so if anyone wants to come to Stoke Newington for it, you're welcome.
That cross in the o looks like a white power symbol
Speaking of white power, someone won his first pro race today
So I guess Simmons will be going ineos way next year?
With moscon that will go down well. 2for1
Olympic road race tomorrow.
Which country is favourite? Belgium?
There is a thread here:
I think Pogacar is favourite and 20 others are second favourite.
I can't see how Van Aert could get over the Mikuni road climb at the head of the race in the finale, but he constantly surprises.
To TT away from the rest at the start & will no-handed wheelie the last 100m in celebration.
19 minute breakaway lead currently.
And G and Tao down.
BBC has cut away from the last 20km to the fucking Pommel Horse!
I nearly put a quid on Carapaz to win but decided on Narvaez at 150/1 instead
Full HD on tiz.
Road surfaces were absolutely terrible in a lot of places. Looked like they had been ground down with grooves for resurfacing, but they didn’t finish the job.
Noted those rutted lines on the last climb they looked like drainage channels all over the road.
