An unbranded one.
yeah, same with all their non sponsor-correct components. Ineos aren't afraid to get out Jim's cheque book for bike parts and permanent marker!
I’m excited about the Giro starting today.
Gianni Savio seems to have found another beast; 18 yo Andrii Ponomar in his first WT stage race has just bridged solo to the break. Youngest starter in the Giro since forever.
Great little ride by the 18 year old lad on Androni to bridge up to the break ... he was on his own for the last twenty minutes or so ... 18 ... !
He's had a decent set of results as a Junior, won the European Junior champs in 2019, plus a fair few other wins so clearly has talent.
He chased for a long time this morning, an older, wiser rider would've given up.
Bloody hell - born 2002!
On a similar note, a mate rode a 10m TT yesterday where a 15 year old did a 19.57. Bit special apparently.
At Ineos by next spring.
Or UAE, at the rate they are buying up the youngsters.
Disc brakes saving Ponomar's skin there I reckon.
Are any proper sprinters getting over the last two climbs? Ewan seems the most likely.
Edit: I haven’t counted Sagan in that. I reckon he’ll be there at the end.
'cross racer Merlier should be able to punch up the last climb, penultimate one I'm not so sure
Aren't they both out the back already?
Ewan and Merlier are gone. Bora are absolutely drilling it.
Feel like Bora have form in absolutely smashing the pace for no return, or am I thinking of someone else? Maybe that's more of an issue with Schachmann.
Surrpisingly, given his pocket posture, Ewan is not a sprinter that's getting over the climbs more easily or sprinting uphill better than other sprinters. It was only this year that he showed the form to do so, with a 2nd place at MSR (the 2018 2nd place obviously doesn't count).
He's won Hatta Dam twice
not that that means anything today!
This would be some ride from the guy out front
Feel the powah
going to be heartbreak
This is giving me the raging Van Der Horn.
