  • In my opinion I think it's really sad to think his career has been cut short by an accident, a mis-placed motorcycle marshall caused him to crash, he never made a full recovery. I wish him all the luck in his future, smashing bloke.

  • This is heart breaking.

  • Not a huge surprise given he had a tiny number of race days in 2019. From the interviews I heard with him, you get the feeling he was expecting his career to wind down.

  • Giro is looking to be a hard one. This stage is wildly difficult. 6000m of climbing

  • Sounds like marketing, looks like a 1000m less than that. But pleased to see the Stelvio being tackled from the classic northern side.

  • Vino-Kolobnev decision postponed for a couple more weeks. Got to admit, if he's guilty I wonder how the UCI can spin that and square it with their "fit and proper" criteria for the WT license of Astana.

On the team side, some new stuff... Total Direct Energie get invites to all world tour races in 2020 and Wanty-Goubert get automatic invites to all UCI Classics Series events. Arkea-Samsic appear to not have made the 2020 World Tour license shortlist for whatever reason. That's a bit of a kick in the nuts for their new signings.

  • Here is a good explanation by inrng:-teams/ Though the whole ranking is calculated unofficially, but it seems they take into account this season results, while not taking the results of joining riders.

  • UCI will likely allow Vino to manage astana from a belgian prison

  • Vino knows where the bodies are buried. I'd be surprised if he gets meaningful punishment lest a few UCI officials suddenly fear for their holiday homes...

  • "Race fixing" seems a bit harsh between two guys that were going to come first and second, it was just a question of what order.

  • Not that I like Vino, I just think the doping should be more of a reason to go to jail.

  • Yeah, it was a fair and just redistribution of assets, the rich giving to the poor. People should just lay off Vinokourov.

Not that I like Vino, I just think the doping should be more of a reason to go to jail.

I didn't even know you could dope in jail, but I suppose there is now virtual racing to consider, which can be done from the comfort of your cell.

  • I think in honesty, it seems a bit silly. People have been buying and selling race results for years and as I understand it, it still goes on in Belgian kermesse events so what makes Vino so different?

If he goes to jail I imagine it'd be like Pablo Escobar's jail with Vino sitting by a pool, sipping cocktails running Astana remotely with a live radio link to the DS and riders during races.

  • Lock up your Kleenex, the superdry dads are going to shit their pussies when they see that

  • Cav's f1nished.

  • Merida can obviously make fast bikes when designed by other people just not on their own, so will be interesting to see what a full on McLaren road bike is like.

Having said that will probably look like a BMC

  • One year deal. LOL.

  • The MLS of pro cycling.

  • Pro cyclist posing with cars in a slow driving supercar montage video seems well, off brand but WHTVR.

  • Worked well for millar 👎

  • He has two chances of stage victory in next year's grand tours. None and .........
