Movistar have gone full Movistar. At the front they are riding to gain time for Quintana. Behind they are chasing to preserve Valverde’s second place.
The theory is that they’ve shredded the domestiques chasing in the red jersey group, meaning the time gap will rise.
Not sure about that one. 🤔
You should know that the leading actor is nothing without their supporting cast. Er ...
Movistar playing 4D chess
Do you think they have Dominic Cummings as a consultant DS?
Loved that moment when the final movistar domestique in the chase group flicked his elbow at Valverde and just got the 'how dare you! nope, not coming through' face
An hour faster than the fastest schedule, wow

The irony of Quintana the Colombian climber, wearing the points jersey, getting onto the podium on a flat stage.
quickstep will be quite pleased with the days work
Fair play, great to see how happy they all are after that.

He’s up to eighth.
Don't like Brad's beard.

"54 x 11 @ 110rpm on the flat"
Gilbert just said he was doing 110rpm on 54x11
Everyone. Gilbert just said he was doing 54x11 on the flat at 110 rpm. Fastest he'd ever been in his career.
Everybody is going to be fucked tomorrow
Lucky it’s an easy day.
Just looked over the Manchester stage of TOfB carefully and can’t believe it goes down wybersley road between hazel grove sprint and Marple- crazy poor surface and most of it on downhills. They’ve mended one corner but the rest of the road is garbage. Euro’s won’t have a clue what’s going on!
