I appreciate they needed to do something that meant no choppers etc to keep costs down..
I don’t have any issues with a circuit race. Just not that circuit. I know it well from being dropped there many times during races and it’s boring.
If they could they would. Getting permission to shit roads isn’t easy. They fight hard to put on a good show but you wouldn’t believe the struggle they’re about against.
This guy had to jump through a lot of hoops to get permission to shit on this road
Jesus wept. Was that really necessary?
Anyway, I’m enjoying Patrick Leferve throwing shade at Antoine Vayer on Twitter this morning.
Sam Bennett staying with Bora. Surprising decision given his reaction to not being brought to any of the big races this year. He's some talent though, coasted over the line in the sprint yesterday
I'd imagine Archibold though has guaranteed his place on the TdeF team after dat lead out
Ahem, after dat Laurent Brochard tribute...
Froome out after crashing 🙏
Out of the tour too?
Doubt that just saw he decked it on todays stage recce.
“Froome was reportedly riding the course with Wout Poels when he crashed towards the end of his recon. Cyclingnews understands that Froome sustained a leg injury in the crash, but as yet there has been no confirmation of the nature of the injury from his Ineos team.”
It’s the premier British women’s bike race. I don’t think they’d take the men’s race on to a crit circuit.
On his way to hospital. Twitter says the side of his bars were a bit smacked up.
Possible broken pelvis ? So no tour -the french one.
Can you elaborate on what you meant by that emoji?
What source did you get that from?
An incredibly unreliable sound byte from Patrick Leferve, i'll dig it out
They don’t. But it’s not the fault of the organisers trust me, I know. They want to make it bigger and better, they actually fight for it but come across a lot of resistance from local authorities.
This would suggest otherwise and would make far more sense
It’s a tough one for him, he’s clearly behind Sagan and Ackerman at Bora so moving would seem to be the logical next step. But he’s been with the team so long that I think he’s very aware that it comes with an element of risk.
Chris Froome has sustained a broken femur in his crash and will miss the Tour de France. We will have more on this story as further details emerge. Says cyclingnews
Confirmed by Brailsford to Daniel Friebe.
I bet Geraint Thomas is laughing like a drain.
