http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/moscon-racially-abuses-reza-at-tour-de-romandie/
"The Italian will be allowed to continue the race, which finishes on Sunday, and Team Sky will punish him after its completion. "
yeah, fuck that

Needs dealt with immediately, not after the race, ffs. They should've withdrawn him as soon as the allegations came to light.

Scumbag.
I tweeted them saying it's not on. It's not.
Respect to Reichenbach for saying something.
-
• #11033
I can't understand Sky. Shameful.
-
• #11034
If you did that in the work place you'd be fired.
-
• #11035
Oh man that sucks. I was starting to like Moscon after the classics, didn't know he's a racist.
-
• #11036
I emailed them (team sky) telling them I'm utterly disappointed and I think it's unacceptable.
-
• #11037
What did Moscon say?
-
• #11038
I guess that's between him and Reza.

Ned boulting and millar is a good combo.
Millar for all cycling info.
Boulting for snippits and talking up all the UK teams, with interesting info.Really good.

While I'm not defending anything, does anyone know what went on? I'm seeing the internet pitchforks out but as I understand it Moscon has apologised and Reza has accepted it. I do agree he should be withdrawn from the race and benched for a significant time.

cyclingnews.com/news/moscon-racially-abuses-reza-at-tour-de-romandie/
'Team Sky has confirmed that Gianni Moscon used racially abusive language towards FDJ’s Kevin Reza at the Tour de Romandie.'
]t does not matter what was said. Using racially abusive language in any form is beyond unacceptable.

R.I.P. Chad Young.
-
• #11043
I'm not saying it's acceptable, I'd just like to know more details.
-
• #11044
Shit. Sleep well
-
• #11045
Bollocks. Sad news.
-
• #11046
I did not mean to imply you thought it acceptable. Just that, it doesn't matter exactly what was said, only that something was said.
I'm sure we can all imagine what was said. But I don't think we'll know, it doesn't matter really.
-
• #11047
Well he's Italian so I've no idea what he might have actually said. Did he insult him in Italian or English? If it was in English would he appreciate the gravitas of what he is saying? That is what I mean by details.
In his favour he owned up immediately (unlike Albasini) and apologised. He's very young, hopefully he'll learn something from this. He should be suspended and fined to hammer it home, by either Sky or the UCI.
-
• #11048
I imagine Sky will treat it seriously, but doesn't want the fact that he was a utter twat to affect their expensive trip to the race.
Perhaps he will have been told something like: 'you're a fucking idiot, you'd better work as hard as you've ever worked before in the next few days, and we'll see what we do with you afterwards'.
Nothing like the threat of being sacked to make you pedal harder...

Thanks a fucking lot ITV for just spoiling the result of Romandie for me, which I was recording. To be expected I suppose but still irritating as hell.
