This is getting silly. I inadvertently installed a fuck ton of adware when installing Kmspico that was I was unable to uninstall. Just removed the windows partition again from os x just to be sure. Will try again tomorrow. Fuckin' windows.

Just been through Gorka for the third time and finally have an SKS (didnt fancy the Carbine with its 5 round clips).

I recommend heading there if you end up on the East Coast- its only a small town but it's never been looted when I have been though and there is always at least one rifle in the large Police station and it has a Hospital too...

Just played it for the first time - I think I ended up on the west side of the map. First spawn was right next to a zombie so that didn't end well... Managed to find some food and a hammer the second go. No guns though.

Axes are the best weapons, I don't use owt else... although in dire times I'm quite fond of hoes.
Just run away from Zombies until you have an Axe really...
Guns are good in some situations (that time I had about 8 on my tail) but in general are more trouble than they are worth - attracting other Z and other players, which are often out to get you too.
