For Sale: Brompton 5 speed wheel + shifter

Interested in the 5 Speed Rear Wheel.

Can you give me a bit of a history on it?

• How old is it?
  
• Have you ridden with the wheel?
  
• Why are you selling it?
  
• Is it one of the old English ones or a Taiwanese one? Did you buy an old Brompton and didn't like it and are switching it out or did you buy it new and not like it

-I am not sure of the age as I bought the Brompton 2nd hand a year ago. I think they only made 5 speeds for a certain period?

• I have ridden the wheel regularly over the last year. Only light recreational use (no commuting) all in fair weather. It's been fine throughout. When I bought the bike I had a full service at London Fields Cycles. Not sure if they touched the wheel but it was certainly given the all clear.
  
• I am selling as my girlfriend is taking the bike and as a result I am single speeding it as she only has to cycle round the corner.
  
• the wheel says ' Sturney Archer Sprinter made in England' on it so its not a Taiwanese job.
  

I also have some Mk1 Brompton brake levers I will throw in if someone takes the tyre and wheel.

Just to confirm, your selling a built wheel, not just the hub...

It's a built rear wheel. With shifter, cable and the chain tensioner.
It does not include any wheel nuts but these should be simple to get hold of.

I can also throw in a brompton Kevlar tyre for £10 and some Brompton brake levers (old style) for free.
