Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch / Late 2011
2.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz)
16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM (8GB x 2) - Upgraded from 4GB
750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB (1GB) graphics
Hi-Res 1680 x 1050 Glossy Widescreen Display - Optional extra upgrade from standard 1440 x 900
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
2 x genuine Apple power cables (bought one spare which was pricey - £65)
Apple remote
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
Incase neoprene sleeve (blue)
Boxed in original box with all original accessories and paperwork
AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n)
Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
Gigabit Ethernet
Firewire "800" port (useful and not on the newer machines)
Two USB 2.0 ports
Separate audio in and out ports
SDXC card slot
"Thunderbolt" port that is backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort
Superb condition. Well looked after and never dropped or had anything spilt on it. Always kept in the neoprene sleeve for transportation. Very high spec (16GB RAM, 750GB 7200RPM hard drive, 1GB graphics card, and high res 1680 x 1050 glossy screen upgrade). Perfectly capable of dealing with anything you throw at it: video, photo, image, audio editing, etc. Works like a dream with Lightroom and Final Cut Pro, editing large full HD and RAW video and photo files.
I prefer this to the newer MacBook Pro models, as these ones are easily user upgradable. The newer ones where everything is soldered to the mother board, you're stuck with that spec. If you feel like it, you could upgrade this even further and put in a Solid Sate Drive (very affordable now - £150 for 512GB on Amazon), which would bring a significant performance increase to an already very powerful machine. You could also remove the DVD drive and put another hard drive there (SSD for the system and applications, and then keep the 750GB drive for storing files etc, or 2 large SATAs or even 2 SSDs).
Bought myself, direct from Apple. Cost over £2000 new, not including the RAM upgrade, extra power cable, and case (about £150 extra all together, total over £2150).
Looking for £1020 £970 posted with full insurance and tracking.
Can post or meet in London or Oxford. I've got the original brown cardboard box and padding it came with direct from Apple, so it will be packaged well. Message me if you're interested please. Not advertised anywhere else.
Thanks.
Note: title says AppleCare but this has now expired. The computer has just come back from a check-up at Apple so is in perfect condition.
