• Moving in with girlfriend soon and some significant downsizing needs to take place.

Bought the frame and headset from Pistoffski a couple of years ago, built it up with parts from my Ribble and never rode it. It's been hung on my wall for over two years and had absolutely zero use. My condor was my go-to bike and the snazzy Principia remained wallbound.

    Pistoffski's listing for the frame:

'Striking orange anodised frame, super light. Hand-made in Denmark. These frames are awesome, a few Principia owners on here will vouch for that. 130mm Rear spacing, 10mm front spacing. Takes a 31.6mm seat-post. Decals removed, some patches of wear to anodising, some cable rub, one very tiny (non structural) ding on the DT. New bottle cage bossess fitted. Headset supplied with a brand new allen bolt, and star fangled nut. Includes CK top-cap. Headset has seen a lot of use, however it functions fine. This was going to be my winter trainer, however something else has come up. Included in the sale: Principia frame, Chrisk King NoThreadset 1 & 1/8th, 34.9mm Seat clamp in black.
    Size: 56cm top-tube (centre-to-centre) / 56cm seat-tube (centre-to-top) / Head-tube 174mm'

Here is what I built it up with:

    Thomson stem and seatpost
Shimano 105 callipers, levers (slightly bashed up but function perfectly), rear mech, cranks and small chainring. All well used but function perfectly. Vaidas cycles tuned the gears up not long ago.
    Shimano Sora front mech
    Sram big ring
Easton Vista wheelset (both excellent condition but a little wobbly)
Columbus Carve carbon forks (near new)
    Giant Connect bars
Chris King NoThreadset (see Pistoffski's description above)

    Collection from New Cross.
    No postage.
    No splitting.
    Viewing welcomed.

If there's anything I've left out let me know. The ding doesn't register on a camera, believe me I've tried.

    NOW ON EBAY

Interesting article about Principia frames. The RSL in particular achieved the verdict ‘outstanding’ at the RWTH Aachen Test Institute.

  • Forgot to add it's got good pair of Maxxis Refuse tyres.

  • bargain! Those Principia's are dynamite frames.

  • Yep larvely. GLWS

  • Thanks, I wish I could've given it more use.
I can supply with a complementary saddle if you want to ride away.

  • It's got a crabon top cap on it at the mo but will include the original chris king one as well. Had a few pm's about this but nothing solid yet so very much still available.

  • How tall are you and is it a good fit for you? I'm 183cm with an 82cm inside leg, realistically, is this frame ideal or on the short side for me?

  • I'm a bit over 5'11 with an 83cm inside leg and it is about right for me.
I would suggest that it would be spot on for you but it is always best to check it out in the flesh though.

  • In a pm I was asked what the effective tt measurement is and it came out at 57cm.

  • Thanks for the quick update. I'll be in touch, your bike is somewhat higher cost than I'm looking to spend right now but if the others don't work out I'll reconsider. Don't wish to waste your time kicking tyres/visiting for a measurement.

  • No worries.
Let me know if you want to check it out.

  • Now on ebay

  • What series are the shifters please?

I really shouldn't be looking but I love the frame and New Cross is temptingly close.

  • How do I tell what series they are?
If you want to come check it out drop me a pm. I'm in most of the day today.

  • No longer listed on here, now on ebay.
