• That's^ dead nice... I like a gently sloping TT...

Got a photo of it now?

Nope... saw the courier who owns it a little while ago, bery nearly went iver and offered money fir it ... (too many bikes already)

  • Here's mine made on his course

Sound as a pound, S&S too!

  • My first track frame ever. Beautiful (but repainted/rebranded) Dave Yates. unfortunately TT about 2cm way too big for me and finished my back off. Gutted as it was awesome!

  • Excellent!^

  • This thread needs moar toarer/atb/cross!

  • ^^ cheers mate, it's the only frame I still regret selling but the TT just didn't work so there was no point keeping it. Saying that the new owner bought it for his son and had it beautifully restored in a metallic dark purple so it went to a good home.

  • This is my old Joe Waugh 753... Still the nicest frame I ever owned!

    (not me on it, btw)

  • And this is Josephine!

  • this has potential

  • My Pearson, which I am told is Dave Yates built....

  • Here's a Dave Yates that I recently refurbished and buit for my wife Pim

  • How've I missed this thread until now?

    1985 M.Steel tourer:

and sporty cousin Joe, also '85ish:

  • @anagrama And how did I miss all these^ up to @.gaz. 's stuff?? Your tourer's right up my street, looks very similar to my EG Bates. Fork looks crashed but I expect that's lens distortion!

    @rive_gauche that diablo!

The paris up there is WELL nice ....

And @user50329 did a nice job with that harlequin mix of colours.

  • @Rhodrich I've seen a few Pearsons with that decal in that nice bronzey grey. Looks good.

  • @.gaz. wtf is that photo all about?

  • Keep meaning to post this. Rides beautifully but would love to get schmancy parts on it, I know nothing of Shimano MTB stuff though.

  • Now running correct size Thomson inline i hasten to add to anyone who remembers the sale thread I bought it from ...

  • No longer DY-built, but Joe Waughs are back in production: http://www.msteelcycles.co.uk/joe-waugh-frameset/

  • Do you know who's making them? They look very Dave Yates to me

  • I've emailed to ask, but they said built in the North-East while Dave's now based in Lincolnshire. Kevin Winter would be my best guess, as he's the only NE framebuilder I'm aware of these days.

  • It's Kevin Winter.

  • Saw a nice Dave Yates yesterday outside design museum, black track frame with close clearances, built with bullhorns and Royce track hubs no less. On here?
