do you need track drops on the pendle? I recon a pearl + sptr/deda bars would look hot

If you ever want to part with orlowski then I dibs it, this frame deserves to go back to its hometown

Today I was told I can't bring the Pendle to herne hill again until I get some 19c tyres!
Certified too tarck for track.

19? 23s not allowed?
-
• #133
Guessing its a clearance issue, i've ridden with 25c at HH
-
• #134
Yes this. Coaches we're having a good (and good natured?) talk afterwards

That expand why Indra shrink a bit in that Instagram photo at Herne Hill.

Yeah, they said had we been going faster it would have touched when I moved up the track.

Yes this, I felt a bit bad when the coach said if he'd noticed it before I wouldn't have been allowed to ride.

Perhaps change the fork?

• #138
Buying a cheapo front wheel and one of those £10 open corsas from Planet X would probably be cheaper and look better.

Maybe it's just the thought of using 19mm tyres that freaks me out a bit :-/
-
• #140
I'd only use them on the track, I've got some wide rims for the road.

Yesterday I also rode the orlowski!

Forgot how fun it is, also nice not having to worry about crazy clearances.

Nice collection...! :)
That Pendle, love it. Please do not crash. I'd be a bit sad. Though you'd be more sad no doubt :)

Maybe the answers to just get new forks Indra? Ryshartski (that's definitely spelt wrong but you know who I mean) or orlowski? Do them for like £100 apparently, someone on the forum got a set and they were built and posted within a week
-

I spoke to duke about it yesterday, he said Orlowski do MAX for £120 but I like these forks and cba to get another set chromed, I've ordered a vittoria open corsa 19c now anyhow. for £9.99 it's a much cheap solution so I'll see how that goes.

Stick with that for now, if you're getting into track, get a wheel build (tubular even) for track.
Much easier than having to swap tyres every time, or check tyres before taking it on the track to stop contamination.

I did talk about getting tubs built up for track and it'll probably be done eventually. I'll have the wheel I use now spare when I build up the new set so can just use that.
I think there might be some old road tubs upstairs in the shop, could just grab some novatecs and rebuild them pretty easy when I need to.

That'd be ideal.
Then the orłowski just needs a chain set and saddle and it's pretty much complete.
Yesterday Jammy suggested I could go 4 cross spoke lacing and polish the spokes. Might be pretty cool I reckon, I threw a silver wheel on the Pendle for track today and I think it looks good, polished should be even cooler with all the chrome.
That puts the Pendle just a seatpost and nice drop cockpit away from completion.
