Unfortunately I do think the market for simple rim brake road bikes is just super limited. Just look at classifieds on here for any rim brake road bike -- you can get a ton of bike, fully built for what they are selling the frame at. Not that this makes the fratello bad value/not a good bike, but I can see why they might drop it.
Hell even surly doesn't sell a single rim brake bike anymore

They're disc now!

Agreed. It was largely rims (and SRAM) that made me sell my Fratello. I have held out on rim brakes for years but once I actually ceased with the traditionalist posturing and actually tried disks there was no going back. I'd probs have kept a Fratello disk. I'd still say the F is a brilliant riding frame.

I have a 2009 Fratello which sadly sits on a turbo trainer for most of its days. 25mm max tyre clearances were what made me retire it.
But the new ones are disc and take 28mm+ with mudguards, so they're ideal...

The newer rim models could take 30mm tyres! Or 28s with guards. Such a versatile bike.

I would be very surprised if they retire the disk version, its seems like the perfect all year round machine for commuting and weekend rides.
Unless people now prefer a dedicated super light carbon road bike and a steel commuter / gravel bike?

I mean, it’s still on the website for purchase

It’s still on the site, just all the old links you might have bookmarked are borked
Well that is odd. Last time I looked at the Condor website, both disc- and rim-brake Fratello models were tagged 'Discontinued'. I think that was on a different browser, on my phone.
Now I see! It is the 2024 colours that were 'discontinued'. Both versions continue, but in new... colourways. That makes me happy.

What was so special about the pista London over a normal pista?

Nice try

Isn't Eric Clapton supposed to have several vintage Condors, along with a sizeable collection of vintage Cinelli?
There's supposedly a spread in a 70s bike mag where he's showing off an ornate lugged Condor.

Ah one for the racists like Clapton.

There were photos on the wall at Condor in the 1980s of Clapton and Jagger with Condor bicycles.

Any way anyone know what the difference between a condor pista and a condor pista London?
Are the Londons worth more or less than a pista of the same age?

I'm eyeballing this Condor Legerro 3K on ebay. Long shot but does anybody know what the tyre clearance would be like? I'm guessing this is 10-15 years old?

Oh yeah I know obviously you can commute on a gravel bike...
I would just assume that most 'hi I would like a new bike for commuting and maybe a few weekend rides please, but I don't know much about them' people who walk into Condor end up walking out with a Fratello.
