  • Do you know if the family need help with anything?

Good point. Do the family know there's a big resource here of willing hands? But also Tibbs you mustn't feel pressure to be the coordinator of anything if you'd rather stand back.

  • Exactly.

  • Knowing Josh I don't think he'd want flowers. I think perhaps a donation to a mental health or addiction charity on his behalf would be apt. He would go on about adopting kids a lot so maybe an adoption charity. His family are quite benevolent so I think they'd appreciate that. Any thoughts?

  • ...flicked his chin at me, then took one hand off the handlebars and then gave me a rude sign.
It made me feel part of a secret club and it made me smile.

The chin flick was his signature. Could mean anything from disapproval to agreement.

I'd go with Mind or Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm) - a suicide prevention charity.

    Happy to help do whatevs.

  • Perhaps we could set up a justgiving page?

  • I think this is a good idea.

  • I once had a very enjoyable talk sat outside Full City with Josh, while one or both of us ate a disappointing curry. Not much in the grand scheme of things, but he was a curious sort in the best possible sense. We can only hope never to reach the level that makes some turn their back on life.

  • The more I think about this the more it upsets me. Sutch an odd chap (used to refer to Sarah (my misses) as his hot forum mum that he could drink beer with. Always willing to get involved in everything with a big big smile. He was a great member of norths when he used to come up the hill and wobble down full of beer and pizza. Will be having a beer for him tonight down under.

  • Perhaps we could set up a justgiving page?
Do you want me to do it? Shouldn't take long. Or maybe wait - these days families often start their own charities in honour of their loved ones.

  • Put it towards an ounce of AK47 and a case of Buckfast... Job done...

This has been haunting me today... :(

  • ^Josh would actually love it if everyone got fucked out of their minds. Tried doing it yesterday but wasn't in the zone. Would be good if we went to the park in the spring and got absolutely out of our minds.
I first met him in London Fields. He offered to look into my eyes while I peed so that might be an apt venue.

  • Shit I'd burn one down at his funeral if it didn't offend his family. I feel that would be more his style.

  • .

Josh's funeral is at St Mary's Church, Church Lane, Walberton, Arundel BN18 0UD.

  • sad news.

i remember seeing josh around the scene - at events and the compass meets etc.

thoughts and prayers for josh, his family and friends.

  • Suicide is such a terrible thing.

  • I remember him overtaking me going up swains in the way to Norths.
Asking me in genuine confusion why I was going so slow.
    Josh man. Legend.

  • Only heard about this yesterday from the North's lot. Very sad news.

Like most have said he certainly was a character and it was always interesting to ride and share a beer or two with him.

Josh, I hope you found the peace you were seeking. Ride on.

  • This is the saddest thing i've heard of late, josh was a lovely chap, he had so much going for him. I remember countless convo's with him on life and his uni results etc a great drinking buddy to boot. Very very smart too, i enjoyed our debates.

  • RIP JOSH, always remember him carrying the most stuff I've ever seen a courier hold, bags hanging off his bag, even on clasped in his mouth.

He had bangin music taste, and was always good company whenever I was with him after work.

Ride in peace bro, thoughts to his close friends and fam
