£39? I'm interested, any more details? CTC measurements for seat tube and top tube? Weight?

As far as I can work out it's a 1983, which means it's 531 throughout, but also that it takes 27" wheels, can you confirm. Also, presumably the black chainstays aren't original.

stays and brake bridge are black just to cover some chips in paint from chain, just to protect the frame from weather .
it's 531db all through, seat is 25" top is 57cm

it takes 27 wheels or 700c with longer drop brakes - c. 60-70mm i think (the alhonga/saccon long drop wrk fine with this, i have set here too )
so will run comfortably guards and up to 700x 35mm tyres

this is a classic 12/15 i have - it's exactly the same frame but came with chrome ends and more touring bits than the RRA- they built these up and parallel (seat and head tube both 73 degrees) so larger sizes just got longer seattube, headtube,steerer and seatstays and probably a longer stem - all were 57 on top from small to large
this has alhonga long drop calipers, 700c wheels with 32 on front and 35 on rear.

I have an '83 Royal, which is very similar to this except that it has hi-ten seat- and chainstays. It's a nice touring machine, but I'm tempted to swap the bits over to this to get a full 531 frame. To be honest though, I'm too busy and the improvement is not worth the time. Nice frame though at a bargain price.
