• so, i need to make a video wall of 4 screens banked 2x2, anyone know anything about doing this? best way to control, need to be able to switch between running 4 different displays to one display over all 4...
any help gratefully taken, much beer offered to anyone who can help me spec it.

  • Start with something like this:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129274

It can drive up to 6 mini display port monitors at once, all with independent resolutions etc. but also allows them to act as a single display.

Then I would find 4 monitors with the thinnest bezels you can find. Are you going to wall mount or bracket to a desk / other surface?

  • .

  • thanks, guys
i was going to bracket the screens onto two AV stands, need them to be portable (ish)
via that graphics card is it seamless switching between one screen across all four, and four individuals? will it lag or go blank in between (like switching input on a telly)?

  • I have no idea i'm afraid. I've not used one myself...

  • No sweat. Thanks for the start. Anyone know anything about matrox?

  • I've used a matrox triple head, was fine, but essentially just increases the resolution of your display, didn't offer any show control

  • I thought they make software to for live running/switching setups etc...
