  • Was just on his blog, cannot find a book link 1.2.3...

His Christmas Foffa Thread story is just genius.

  • Yeah it's happening here too. £5 limit
I got the office misery guts. God knows what to get them

    £5 worth of bootleg Citalopram?

  • googles

    Sounds fun.

  • Just get some cheap safety specs from Wickes, tape an led and a battery to one leg and scrawl 'google' on the lens with a protractor.

    IT geeks love google.

  • I drew my manager out of the hat one year. £10 budget. bought her a skateboard for £9.99. She broke her arm in four places.
Management with no skillz, who'd have thunked it.

  • Last year I bought someone Jack Daniels minature and shot glass with a remote working book. Good and practical. Figjam.

  • A bike book for secret santa, quelle surprise! "my cool bike" by Chris Haddon.

LFGSS is mentioned in it...and a member pic of Yasi ;)

My draw seemed happy with his headband for cycling. W00t.

  • I got a squirrel nut grinder!

I bought a lego ambulance for our grad as we had to call him an ambulance on the first night out we had (He had been travelling around South America and got some odd bug that he didn't know about which meant he didn't react well to alcohol!)

  • Here is my secret santa

    merrie santa

Ha forgot about that, they wrote my bit for me but its not too bag :)

  • Book did look great though billy is in it

  • What should I buy?

  • I'm doing this or this.

  • Ah good ideas!

I have somebody that's into Animal Rescue, they may do something like that.

  • Secret Santa, not something I usually do, but hinted at showing willing.
For some reason the limit is £5, which restricts my usual "bottle of Jaeger" gift.
(actually, does Lidl do "Hunts master"?)

I barely know the people in my office (i started just before Corona sent everyone home, and I barely visit the office to know any of the recent joiners)

Suggestions? or should i just wrap up a £5 note?

  • I got a £10 Starbucks voucher last time. We did a swapping one, where people buy for someon but then there's like a trade war for stuff. So someone ended up with my booze.
I gave it to someone that drinks Starbucks.

  • Last year (or was it the year before?) I got a bag of crisps off someone at work. But it was kind of fair enough because the week before he'd given me a Scott Foil frameset

  • lol.

Suggestions? or should i just wrap up a £5 note?

Always difficult when you don’t know the person. £5 of sweets (eg jumbo skittles) in a jar could go down well or terribly.

  • How could it go badly? It's a £5 gift. If you personally don't like it you say thanks and then use it to lure kids into your van give it to your nephews and nieces or some shit.

  • Diets are difficult, people gifting you sweets make it more so.

  • You can't get upset about that during a secret santa. That's missing the point of it entirely.
Give the sweets away. Diet -crisis- solved.

  • Upset, and ‘terribly’, are maybe too strong.

  • 5 £1 scratch cards
