  • Possibly. Probably looks better if it's not foffa-coloured though.

  • the fork ends look really cheap and nasty..

  • i like the look of it

  • marco from pelizzoli is really great in replying fast and he is really hard trying to find track forks with disc mounts or what it would cost to do a custom one.

  • meanwhile i'm 99% sure to order the pelizzoli leggenda frame due to the great customer service. i'm just waiting for the final word from marco regarding the track disc fork, all other custom changes are clear now.

this is how the color of the frame/fork will look like (potatoshopped on an other leggenda frame):

  • Nice.

Will you stop the black on the rear triangle there, or paint the bridge and inner stays up to the seattube junction?

  • the idea is to stop the black under the rear bridge and at the end of the chainstays, like this one (stijncycles):

  • Unsuprisingly this is going to be superb.

    Strong work S!

  • decided to order the pelizzoli leggenda with a normal track fork.
will list all custom frame details asap.

  • ^Eingang, did you enquire about the possibility of a custom fork and how much it would cost? Im still trying to come up with a decent fork option for my new build so Id be interested to see if custom is at all possible.
Colour looks awesome by the way, cant wait to see the finished thing.

  • the price would probably more than the enve and in no relation to the rest, but i didn't asked for a specific price.

  • Subscribed. Can't wait for this.

  • marco wrote me again regarding the track disc fork and they think about installing a disc brake socket on a standard track fork, but the fork will need to be tested before being installed, so the cost will still be quite high.

  • List of custom details, based on the standard leggenda in size 60:

    • Seat tube 61.5cm (centre/centre), top tube 59.5cm (centre/centre)
    • Seat tube for 31.6 seat post
    • Tapered headtube for an integrated headset (1 1/8")
    • BSA bb thread
    • Carbon Track fork, drilled for a front brake. Model: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2876/9340863401_a58f981c01_c.jpg
    • Frame and fork in color RAL1016 (glossy)
    • Pelizzoli decals in RAL9005 (glossy)
    • Inside of the forks also in RAL9005 (glossy)
    • Inside of the rear stays also in RAL 9005 (glossy). Same (inside of the chainstays, dropout, seat stays up to the rear bridge) as the chrome at the yellow frame on this picture: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3348/3596991579_9316673fb3_z.jpg
    • 75GRAD in RAL1016 (glossy) on the inner left (non-drive) side chainstay in the same font as Pelizzoli decals
  • This sounds great, all pelizzoli frames are stunning.
Also I like those ^ forks myself, something a bit different to the usual alpina or similar.

  • decided to postpone this project due to 2 reasons.

    1) after my last ride through the forest i realised how much i always love this kind of riding and how seldom i ride my fixed bike. and as we are close to autumn this will getting less and less. i also realised that a new frame wouldn't change this for now as pelizzoli needs 8 weeks to build/paint/ship the frame. so no riding before spring next year with this beauty.

    2) pelizzoli send me a "draft some kind of cad-drawing" with my changed measurements and also this statement:
"As you will see we don't know the length of the headtube yet, in fact we're working with an old Italian frame building technique, where is way more important to know the front wheel base. At that way the angle and the length of the headtube will be adapted to the rest of the frame to obtain a balanced frame."
To be honest, this bit vague for investing 1.1k euros and I know that it would work with a real CAD drawing.

due to that i decided to buy a cyclocross disc bike first.

    no more compromises.

  • Was looking forward to this :(

  • no more compromises.

I am glad. Good decision from what you've been saying throughout the thread. Shame though, I too was looking forward to this.

  • rode through the forest

decided to buy a cyclocross disc bike

    hehe

  • sounds strange, i know. i wrote a bit more yesterday about that in the thread for the orlowski. i thought i could rebuild the fork of the orlowski into a disc fork, but i has to install mudgards soon i won't do any crossrides with mudgards. hence i will leave the orlowski as it is and will buy a cross disc bike.

  • makes sense I suppose... what other bikes do you have? The FES, the Somec?

  • i currently have:

    fes - for the velodrome
rose xeon rs-4400 - my road bike
    orlowski - my commuter
dolan seta - my last reference to the fixed gear thing

and then a cyclocross disc bike (probably a giant tcx slr 2 2014 frame) will join the family hopefully really soon.

  • Makes sense to me. Those new Giant CX frames look fantastic.
