Roof boxes. Aren't they, though? Bewilderingly, buttock-clenchingly expensive for what's basically a big suitcase made from cheap placcy materials.
My missus inform me that ours is too now small for its "main purpose", this being when it's not used as a parts store for 49 weeks of the year.
I don't know how many litres it holds and therefore what capacity it is. Whilst it would be fun to drill a hole on the top and tip in a measuring fluid to compute this, it would almost certainly leak. Let say 'medium' which must be 250L.
This one dates back to the Ark. Note the OEM hasp and staple locking provions, requiring small padlocks. One could imagine William Woollard enthusing this new breakthrough in 'roof utility' to the extent of making a "little tent" in his flared slacks. Possibly.
Anyhow, a cheap-ish roof box for your camping gear or 60Kg or so of whatever. 50 quid?
Collection from East London.
