  • anyways, i have to say im always intrigued by the high position you seem to favour; upward stem ánd quite high rise riser bars.. don't you reckon you could level the stem and H a little TFU for solely aesthetic purposes?

  • This looks schweeeeet! Why no Ominiums?

    your size and all..

    54cc is a tad small and I'd prefer standard 1 1/8th forks but nice find - they don't come up for sale often.

    I do need to HTFU re-riding position. Apparently I need to stretch to be more flexible. Then flip & slam dat stem.

    I always think that it's a shame that bike look better when the riding position is excruciatingly painful.

    For example, everyone loves a lo-pro. Until they ride one...

    Good old italian BB, that's why.

    I pulled the Mielec and Dolan apart, followed by the Pinarello just to realise that the BB shell is italian threaded so I wouldn't be able to swap BB.

    The FSA track uses that ISIS BB which is expensive so it wasn't really worth it...

  • ISIS BB's and Italian GXP BB's are both readily available though? Or am I missing something?

    They are.

    I just didn't fancy smashing £100 on BBs to make it happen.

    I couldn't put the Omniums on my Seta as the 170mm arms are too long for the HH velodrome (they probably aren't but since they are gone, I will stick with that story)

    ISIS BB you say? Get some Dura Ace on there! Love those cranks....

  • ^thats not isis. i forgot the name, but dura ace/shimano is not isis splined. oh, octalink, thanks google.

  • They are.

    £24.99 for the GXP BB, and I ride at HHV with 170mm cranks and they're fine. I've been told they're fine for using on most indoor velodromes as well.

  • Where can I get me one of those CUNT stickers?

  • use the search. v-l s selling them

  • http://www.lfgss.com/thread113031.html#post3809513 you could make this guy an offer for his Italian Gxp bb, then all you've gotta do is get a Isis BSA one, shoul be pretty cheap by the end

  • All this needs is a more attractive saddle and a back breakingly low bar position to look as great as it probably rides!

  • you're bike is beauty regardless but imagine a white front mag wheel

    like awwmagawd.

  • thread blessed by skrtluv

  • love the pink, love the tape, not the white rim, but what do i know.

  • A bit of movement on the Pinkarello.

    Swapped forks for Kinesis alloy ones.
    Installed DA cranks with Sugino 75 chainring.
    Planet X Superlight Seatpost.
    San Marco Concor Light.
    Halo Aerotrack wheelset.

  • Looking really good.

    It's showing a lot more seatpost than it used to, have your legs got longer?

  • that's pretty damn cool

  • vince in a pretty attractive bike shocker..

    you took it back from france?

  • The bike is in France along with loads of other projects.

    I had to lower the seatpost by 2cm as it was too high indeed.

    The current tyres are 700x28 so I had to put the rear wheel well back in the droupouts so they wouldn't rub on the rear stays.

    Next on the list, 700x23 gumwalls, silver stem and bars, silver 1" spacers

  • vince in a pretty attractive bike shocker..

    I think that's the 'surprise' bit of the thread title!

  • I was in France for the grape harvest so I brought back a couple of parts to finish off the Pinkarello.

    I am happy with it now I have fitted the following:

    700x20 Vittoria gumwalls;
    Silver Ritchey Classic 90mm stem + Silver 1"spacers;
    Soma HWY One bars in 40cm wrapped in white Pinarello tape;
    White leather Christophe Toe Straps;
    Dura-Ace SP7410 Seatpost; and
    White Turbo Saddle (new edition).

  • Saddle angle needs sorting.

    I wouldn't have gone silver on this. Needs black finishing kit to make that frame pop.

    Now it just looks a bit...camp tbh.

  • i'm in the same... camp as thrust. needs black. sorry.

    for a moment i thought you were gonna lose your habit of anti-creation but im afraid it isnt so..

    don't you have another frame to put these parts on?
