has issue with seat collar, needs attention somehow? weld one on?
seat post collar not the easiest solution? is there already a "slit" in the back of the tube? otherwise hacksaw, drill and bob's your uncle #edwardscoble

Looks like it needs a quill seat post with an expander-bolt, I have the same arrangement on my Pinarello Kera-Lite

its likely it did need a quill post, but someone whom had this lovely frame
before me cut a groove and used a drill to make a hole, then used a mtb seat clamp?
the clamp didn't work as it didn't hold the seatpost firm without movement,
i presume you could get someone skilled in brazing to braze a clamp system onto there. -

no the seatpost diameter was fine, defo a clamp issue.

I like this frame; have you any pics of it built up ?
What size wheels does it take ? . . . it looks as if it has tight clearances.
Is there a downtube shifter braze-on, on the other side ? (pic doesn't show).

it takes 700c wheels, i ran it with a 23c tire rear which was not so tight ,
so yes the clearance is quite tight, but not bad at all so not rizla paper thin..
..the front has more clearance i ran 25c no problem....
..this is the only picture of it with wheels, but it was taken from a weird
angle that doesn't show the top tube being straight/horizontal...
....however it is with 700c wheels on!
the rear dropouts are set at 120mm &
it has a shifter mount on the other side as well.

ah ok, having said that it doesn't look like a clean factory machined slot, have you tried adding a tin-can shim to the post and see if that holds?

nope i didn't, it was a 27.0 post i used but i reckon
you could use a 27.2 post, i haven't got one handy though.
however the seat clamp bolt snapped so that put a massive halt on things
as was trying to use this frame for getting around on & need something reliable.
the tubing seems thin for a seat clamp, it looks as though it needs a brazed clamp fitted,
the seat clamp method comes out wrong!
