  • Picked this up from Paulo, fresh from an italian basement, for £110. It's fillet brazed dedacciai EOM 16.5, with a carbon rear triangle - apparently this is the lightest tubeset they made.

Bearing that in mind, I figured I'd better build it up with some really heavy parts. I got this 'pinarello' (swinnerton) from the bay the other day, but as I've conceded it's to big for me I'll shift the frame and move the bits over to the moser.

It's mostly Chorus circa 1991, unfortunately just pre ergopower so I'll have to find some brifters to suit. Rad monoplanar brakes though. Black flite and compactish drops?

  • Nice frame, wanted it myself. Component choice sounds good, looking forward to a full build!

  • all black finishing kit would look stealth and sexy but dont know how it will work with silver groupset .. then you can keep it consistent by using all black finishing kit, black tape and saddle and silver groupset, tbh frame deserves a better groupset from era of your choice.

  • Aye, I'm just going to get it rolling then I think I'll work towards a modern campag group bit by bit. I'm a student ffs. Chorus is only 1 rung down from record though, it's a decent enough group for now.

  • Bloody forrin BB shells...

  • I'm a student ffs.

I think I owned moar bling than ever when I was a student, that's what student loans are for.

  • so, 8 speed campag ergos then? veloce is about as low as you can go and still retain acceptable shifting, but beware worn ratchets.

  • Sounds about right. The other option is to shift the 'pinarello' as a complete bike, and try to find a group/wheelset that suits for around £200. Unlikely, though.

  • Alfie, what are you doing with that Look fork?

If it is 1inch steerer I would love to buy it off you? like desperately

  • Aye, it's 1". It's going on my bike. And you can't have it!

ner ner ne ner ner etc.

  • Fair enough :(.

It's a serious offer if you change your mind.

  • Lovely frame

i've got one - but it comes with a look frame too -

  • ^what size is the frame?

  • 59cm seat tube

  • Might have wangled some period correct DA to throw at this. I know shimano = POC, especially on something this flagrantly Italian, but there ain't nothing you can do about it.

  • Do you have any closer shots of the rear stays interface?

They look really smooth, are they definitely carbon, or is it carbon laminate under the lacquer?

DA will look excellent on this.

  • Hey bro,

This is the headset I was talking about on Saturday:
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=94965

£5 (I paid £2.99 for mine in the sale but still cheap).

Sorry I didn't make much sense on Saturday, I was fresh out of Corsica Studios...

  • I don't understand the thread title...

  • Google it...

    ^^ Already bought it! ta.

^^^ intimate pix coming up. I'll put them in my picasa, just google 'moser veronica', it's the album title.

  • Veronica Moser... ha ha ha.

The stays go thud, the frame tubes go ping, and it's fucking light. I'm convinced.

    Also, check this out. Magnets?

  • No wonder you haven't been doing any revision....
    Still I'm jealous as...

  • Stop studying, the internet needs pictures of rosie.
