• i need ideally a large flange rear with track thread.
but if it's cracked on the holes (and therefore cheaper) - then all the better. - i know both primato and harden do that from time to time

i need it make up a cosmic 16h rear track wheel, so it'll be milled smaller and re-drilled anyway

  • I might have what you need! I messed up a new miche 28h hub with my dremmel tool, wanted to use bladed spokes. its single side fixed. so never been used, just abused by a hand tool.

other op[tion is 16h rear phil wood here for $210: http://www.tracksupermarket.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=68&products_id=1070

I have a silver novatec solid flange double fixed hub but the spoke holes are for a paired spoke rim so I cant use it at the moment

  • yes either of those would do .
phil wood would be nice, but too much for me.
the bikes worth less than that.
i've got comic clinchers with no rear hub, so have bought off ebay some less desirable cosmic sprints, mainly in order to steal the rear hub and spokes for the clinchers (to sell on again).
this leaves with me with a front sprint and rear sprint rim. so i thought - make a pair up for the track.
i'd redrill the rims but it's heavily sided with spokes coming almost out of the side of the rim.

  • colm ?

  • hi sorry forgot about this. only the novatec is available.

Im not really sure its a good idea to do this tho, 16 holes will require very high tension, spoke holes arent simplty drilled, theres extra forging work usually done to them.

  • yes i 'll still give it a go anyway if you want to part with it, i'll not be riding it, i'm too heavy, it'll be strictly for lightweights.

  • do you need axle and bearings? mine has allen bolts and bearing cover caps, its pretty light. you can get a compatible threaded axle from CRC for £4

  • if it's good fro a track bike re spacing etc. anythng will do

    thanks
    paul
