I'm fairly sure I have a couple of these in the shed, one completely unused but probably a bit grubby from being in a parts bin, the other lightly used. I can bring one into town tomorrow, but had better check tonight that they're not something silly like 6speed.

Thanks a bunch Ludd, if you do indeed have a 5 speed let me know!

Oh pants - in the excitement of arriving home last night to find a chicken roasting in the overn, I completely forgot to check the shed. If it's not too late for you, I'll try to remember to look when I get in tonight.

No worries! Sounds like a tasty distraction!
I would put the defective one back on seeing as it would make the bike just about rideable for the time being, but I don't want to go through the trouble of removing it yet again!

Well, I've written a note to myself and might even attach it to my keys to maximise the chances of me remembering not to forget this evening.

I've turned the shed upside down, and I'm very sorry to report that the only freewheels I found were either 1 speed or 7 speed. Let me know if either of these are any good to you.

Hi Ludd, no that's ok, but thanks very much for looking for me, really appreciated!
Does anyone else in London have one spare?

Not to worry, just ordered a new one!

Does anyone have one spare?
Bought a new one from Halfords to replace a defective one which came with my girlfriend's 80s Raleigh. The new one has already failed (within 100 miles!) and keeps sticking - very annoying, and I urgently need to find a replacement for her.
If anyone has a smooth turning one left over from converting an old 5/10 speed to single/fixed, I'd be most grateful!
