Wanted: help me build a girls bike

Building this up for the girlfriend which I wanted to do with silvers parts, white saddle and bartape/grips and tan wall tyres.

To finish it I only need; ----->

Silver pedals - double sided as she doesnt ride with clips - some like these would be ideal**

1 black v brake for the rear - SORTED
2 all Silver v brake levers] - prefer simpler design - SORTED

I would prefer everything very much at the cheaper end of the spectrum as this is her everyday bike.

i have some light alloy northroad bars (Oxford brand) that were used for about a week which were trimmed a little and are really comfortable, similar to this:

I've got some Raleigh Alloy drops. They're suprisingly light (260g) and in good nick, in fact they should shine up nicely. They're fairly narrow (about 39cm C-C, I can check this) so they might be good for a laydee. £10 and I'm in London

I've also got a pair of shimano cantis here, and some brand spanking new silver Tektro calipers if you prefer £8/pair including pads. I've also got some very beaterish old school levers for drops, but your build sounds classier than this.

Remember if you get canti brakes you will need cable hangers too.

If you get V brakes, normal drop bar brake levers wont work too well with them.

Thats a good point on the cantis, so will have to be v brakes and probably not drops then. So standard levers and a non drop bar it is

i'm pretty sure there are some tektro levers for v brakes and drops
